The Science

The Plaque X formula is designed to target the bacteria Streptococcus mutans. Streptococcus mutans is a Gram-positive organism that is the primary causative agent in the formation of dental cavities in humans.This bacteria, as well as several others, colonized on enamel as a biofilm. If these bacteria are not properly removed, they release acids and can cause tooth decay, gum disease, and cavities. The acidic environment created by these bacteria causes the highly mineralized tooth enamel to become vulnerable to decay.

To address these issues, Plaque X is equipped with an hydrophilic/hydrophobic formula using a phospholipid bilayer, not unlike the cells in our bodies, composed of a phosphate group and a lipid. The hydrophilic nature allows water to spread out and maximize contact, and the hydrophobic part causes the water to form into droplets and run off, carrying excess food with it. Together, they are an efficient and effective system that successfully cleans teeth. Plaque X is also antimicrobial, which will repel the harmful bacteria.
